The name “Liminal” reflects our position in the space between disciplines — an in-between perspective that connects researchers, artists, and the broader public through clarity, aesthetics, and shared curiosity. Our studio logo draws inspiration from the Chinese character “间” (Jiān), meaning “space” or “in-between.” Embedded within its form is a DNA molecule, symbolizing our roots in molecular biology.
